Linda Spangenberg, PNP

Linda Spangenberg, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC is a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of diverse nursing experience. She began her career after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2000, working in rural hospital settings where she developed a strong foundation in emergency care. Her time in the ER honed her clinical judgment and deepened her passion for serving underserved communities.

After relocating to Houston, she transitioned to school nursing, providing compassionate care to elementary-aged children and serving as a vital health resource for students, families, and staff. Inspired to expand her impact, she pursued advanced education and earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a pediatric focus from Houston Christian University in 2019.

In 2020, she became a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). Since then, she has been committed to delivering high-quality, family-centered care to children across a range of clinical settings. Her approach blends clinical expertise with a warm, empathetic presence, making her a trusted advocate for her young patients and their families.

She became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to expand my impact—not just in treating illness, but in promoting wellness, educating families, and being a consistent presence in a child’s healthcare journey. As a registered nurse, she loved hands-on care and connection with patients, but she wanted to take on a more active role in diagnosis, treatment planning, and long-term care. Becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner allowed her  to deepen her clinical knowledge while continuing to do what she loves: building trust with children and their families and helping them thrive.

Linda’s favorite part of working with children is the pureness of their hearts. Whether it’s pure happiness, pure silliness, pure mischief, or even pure fear or sadness, everything they feel is so genuine and unfiltered. That honesty is both humbling and inspiring. It reminds me daily of the importance of meeting them where they are, with compassion, patience, and joy. Working with Pediatric Sleep Specialists allows her to make a meaningful impact on a foundational aspect of children’s health—sleep. Linda loves being part of a team that helps families understand and manage sleep challenges, which often affect not only the child’s well-being but the entire household. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how improving sleep can transform a child’s mood, behavior, academic performance, and overall development.
