Dr. Brockbank grew up in the Washington, D.C. area, completed his undergrad at BYU and then attended medical school in Richmond, VA at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed fellowships in pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He was an assistant professor at The Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU within the division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, and director of the pediatric sleep program for 8 years. During his last three years there, they opened the first sleep lab exclusively used for conducting pediatric sleep studies in all of central Virginia.
Dr. Brockbank works directly with the advanced practice providers to provide sleep medicine care to our patients and performs sleep study interpretation. He loves working with children because of their resilience and how quickly they can adapt and change. It’s very rewarding to see children function better and to have families live happier, healthier lives when their children sleep better.
When he is not working, he spends his time with his family cheering them on at their sporting events, doing yard work, volunteering as a scout leader in his son’s troop, and trying new restaurants with his wife and friends.
